Capsular Contracture Case 7

Gender
Female
Age
42 years old

Description

This 41-year-old sought revision surgery for capsular contracture, breast asymmetry, and hardening following prior augmentation with subglandular implants and a mastopexy; she wanted softer, more balanced breasts while keeping a similar size. Evaluation showed bilateral Grade III capsular contracture, asymmetry, ptosis, and distortion of the right breast, which sat higher with a more contracted appearance. Implant exchange and capsulectomy were performed to address the contracture, improve symmetry, and restore a softer, more natural contour.
