What Happens During a Surgical Consultation?

Before your visit, a member of our patient care team contacts you directly. We speak personally with every surgical inquiry, so your education begins before you walk through the door.

On the day of your consultation, our office staff greets you and introduces you to a staff nurse. Surgical consultations typically run about an hour. Dr. Rudderman evaluates your concerns and discusses your options, and our clinical staff then walks you through the process in more detail. You will finish with our patient care coordinator, who covers the practical side of surgery, including costs and logistics.

No two consultations are the same. Treatment plans and surgical recommendations are tailored to you, and the relationship does not end at your post-operative visit.

What Happens During a Skin or Injectables Consultation?

A skin or injectables consultation begins with listening. We ask open-ended questions because we want to understand you and your skin before recommending anything invasive. There is no pushing and no pressure. The goal of a first visit is to build trust and agree on a plan you feel comfortable with.

How Should I Prepare for My Consultation?

There is very little you need to do. One of our patient coordinators speaks with you before your office visit to walk through what to expect, which takes much of the anxiety out of the appointment. They may point you toward specific pages on this website for a general overview of your condition or the treatments under consideration. Reviewing that ahead of time is helpful but not required — bring your questions and we will cover the rest together.

How Do I Book a Consultation?

Call (678) 566-7200 to schedule at either of our locations. Med spa appointments can also be booked online. For surgical consultations, a member of our team will reach out directly to discuss your concerns before your visit.

Atlanta Plastic Surgery & Med Spa Consultations FAQs

No. Many patients arrive knowing they want to make a change without knowing which treatment will get them there. Our team performs a comprehensive assessment and builds a plan around your concerns and goals.

We offer a Skin Consultation, an Injectables Consultation, an IV & Wellness Consultation, and a Surgical Consultation. Each one is a starting point based on the concern that brought you in, and your provider can redirect you if a different path fits better.

Start with the concern that matters most to you. One of our patient coordinators speaks with you before your visit and can help point you toward the consultation that fits best, so you do not have to sort it out on your own.

Surgical consultations include a personal evaluation by Dr. Rudderman, along with time with our clinical staff and our patient care coordinator. Skin, injectables, and IV and wellness consultations are conducted by our licensed medical aestheticians and injectors, whose assessment and treatment experience comes from extensive direct client care.

Dr. Rudderman focuses on breast and body surgery and no longer performs facial plastic surgery.

Surgical consultations typically run about an hour. That includes time with a staff nurse, your evaluation and discussion with Dr. Rudderman, a walkthrough of the process with our clinical staff, and a conversation with our patient care coordinator about costs and logistics.
