Breast Implant Removal Case 13

Gender
Female
Age
31 years old

Description

Unresolved health issues brought this 31-year-old in regarding her 15-year-old, 380cc textured silicone implants, along with formal mastopexy. She had concerns with hair loss, fatigue, and skin rashes, and thyroid issues and was concerned that these issues could be related to Breast Implant Ilness (BII). She reorted that her Rheumatologytest were negative. Exam showed significant asymmetry with a double contour along the lower breast, nipple-areolar asymmetry, and scars from a prior lift. Bilateral removal, capsulectomy, and a reshaping mastopexy improved nipple-areolar positioning and significantly improved the lower aspect of both breasts, with some upper breast volume loss; results shown are at 1 year post-op, and she was pleased with the smaller, more natural contour. She stated that she was pleased with removal of her implants and noted significant improvement of all areas of her symptoms of concern.
