Capsular Contracture Case 9

Gender
Female
Age
58 years old

Description

This 58-year-old sought removal of implants placed 23 years earlier along with options for a lift. Exam showed significant asymmetry, a firm right breast consistent with capsular contracture, and significant tissue thinning — more pronounced on the right and particularly noticeable below the nipple-areolar area bilaterally. Her 420cc saline implants were removed with total capsulectomy through an inframammary crease incision, combined with a breast lift using an inverted T approach that stabilized the nipple-areolar position and improved lower breast volume bilaterally.
