Description
Implants that have been in place more than a decade often come with loose tissue that removal alone won’t address. This 50-year-old wanted to discuss lift options along with removal, and exam showed large implants, scars from a prior lift, significant nipple-areolar widening, and dramatic lower breast thinning bilaterally. She had concerns about numbness, upper extremity tingling, migraines and night sweats, and was concerned that these symptoms could be related to Breast Implant Illness (BII). Her 225cc silicone implants were removed with total capsulectomy through an inframammary crease incision, combined with a breast reduction and inverted T lift, dramatically improving nipple-areolar positioning and lower breast contour. She was very pleased with the natural appearance and improvement in health.
