Breast Implant Removal Case 2

Gender
Female

Description

Severe capsular contracture can leave one breast with almost no soft tissue coverage over the implant. This 70-year-old presented with breast asymmetry and discomfort from firmness, along with concerns about breast implant illness despite normal bloodwork. Exam showed a hard right breast with very little tissue covering the implant compared to the left, and severe thinning below the right nipple. Her 21-year-old, 240cc saline implants were removed with total capsulectomy through inframammary incisions, resulting in minimal additional droop, greater volume loss on the right than the left, and overall reduced droop with improved symmetryand appearance.
