Description

Synmastia — where the breast pocket extends too far medially and the implants appear to meet in the midline — typically requires pocket revision rather than a simple implant exchange. This 35-year-old, following a prior augmentation, developed palpable and visible implants along with this midline symmastia. She underwent removal and replacement of the implants into a new, properly positioned subpectoral pocket. She achieved a stable outcome with improved appearance and resolution of the synmastia.
