IPL Photofacials safely and comfortably fade the appearance of rosacea, spider veins, skin imperfections caused by sun damage, age spots, and uneven skin tones.
As technology continues to improve at the speed of light, it becomes crystal clear that lasers are here to stay…and are becoming the treatment of choice for many of today’s cosmetic and clinical treatments. Our genes define who we are, how we will age, and at what pace visible signs of aging will appear. Often, we look into the mirror and see those parental resemblances, especially as we move through life into the senior years. Lifestyle, how we’ve chosen to eat, exercise or not, the amount of sun exposure we’ve had, unexpected trauma and disease, pregnancy and childbirth, hormonal changes, and more, all factor into how we age.
Many people look into the mirror one day and decide it’s time for change. They know age-defying procedures are out there and they want them! Dr. Rudderman offers only the safest, most reliable options available today.
We’re proud to offer elos™ laser technology. Unlike any other laser in use today… elos™ is the first and only laser technology that combines light and radiofrequency. The elos™ combined energies gently achieve superior results while safely and effectively rejuvenating and restoring a more youthful appearance to your skin without downtime.
Photofacials use advanced laser technology called Intense Pulsed Light (or IPL). Our clients see amazing results, painlessly delivered by world-class elos™ electro-optical synergy laser technology by Syneron®.
What does your skin type mean for you?
IPL is attracted to reds (vessels), and browns (pigmented spots). The light needs contrast to be effective to remove or lighten pigmented spots. The IPL sees all pigment and is not effective or safe for darker skin types.
If you are concerned about any of the following and have a strong desire to correct one or more of these conditions, you could be an ideal candidate for IPL Photofacial treatments.
Good candidates should also be in good general health and have mature, realistic expectations.
The elos™ hand held wand is passed over the treatment area allowing the focused light and bi polar frequency to restore your skin to a healthier, more youthful state. Most patients feel a hot pinch sensation that lasts only a fraction of a second, along with a warm tingling sensation. Most patients tolerate the treatment without anesthetic, but a topical anesthetic can be used for those with more sensitive skin.
If you have multiple skin imperfections and a strong desire to correct these and you are in otherwise good health, you could be an ideal candidate. You should also have realistic expectations. Men and women of all ages and stages have Dr. Rudderman’s IPL laser treatments.
After each treatment it is common to see a gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Clients see textural results near the end of a series of treatments.
Treatments can take from a few minutes to an hour depending upon the size and number of areas being treated.
Dr. Rudderman’s patients are all ages and in all stages of life…so treatment requirements vary. Typically, we do a series of 5 and these are spaced 30 days apart.
Most of our clients apply Jane Iredale mineral makeup and return to work immediately. Ask us about Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics.
No. IPL Photofacials are a cosmetic procedure not covered by health insurance. We do offer financing for the procedures Dr. Rudderman performs. Ask about it in our business office.
