A Tummy Tuck surgically removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen & tightens loose muscles. It is one of today’s most popular “body contouring” procedures.

Genetics & Lifestyle

Health and youthfulness is conveyed in today’s world by a flatter abdomen, tighter skin and a contoured waistline. Aging, lifestyle, genetics and weight fluctuation are common problems today. Often, in spite of diligent dieting and rigorous exercise, loose skin and muscle laxity resists our best efforts. It happens at various ages and stages in life…some people struggle with it all their lives. Tummy Tuck, also called Abdominoplasty is one of the most popular procedures I do because it gets rid of loose, hanging skin and folds, excess fat, tightens muscles and contours your body to a more youthful look.

How People Benefit from Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) does the following:

  • Tummy Tuck helps restore a flatter, smoother stomach
  • Abdominoplasty removes excess skin & fatty tissue
  • Tummy Tuck tightens & lifts relaxed muscles
  • Can remove damaged skin due to weight shifts and/or pregnancy
  • Repositions remaining skin to a more youthful position
  • Tummy Tuck corrects muscles separated from the abdominal wall
  • Repositioned muscles achieve a firmer, younger looking abdomen
  • Tummy Tuck can restore a pre pregnancy look, feel & function
  • Can give you Fab Abs long term if you commit to maintenance

Tummy Tuck Procedure Overview

Abdominoplasty requires careful planning, skill and experience to achieve optimum, long lasting results. It can involve a full tummy tuck, or mini tummy tuck and may be combined with surgery done by other specialties, including general surgery and OBGYN. Tummy Tuck may include liposuction for excess fat removal. Dr. Rudderman makes an incision at the pubic bone and works through it to remove excess fat, loose skin and to tighten and reposition muscles. Sutures close the often well-hidden incision.

  • Dr. Rudderman and his staff made the experience easy and comfortable. They were realistic communicating surgery expectations, expected pain levels and down time from work. Nurses were informative and friendly and wait times minimal. I also liked the fact that Dr. Rudderman does all his own work and doesn't let other less experienced people do parts of the surgery the way other doctors may. I'm only one week out of the surgery, but I am very satisfied with the results so far.
