Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) Atlanta

Liposuction is a wonderful procedure for body sculpting today, but in a few cases, such as the upper arms, loose, hanging skin needs to be reduced, tightened & lifted. Arm Lift does that easily & safely.

Genetics & Lifestyle

A good diet and the right exercise program is good for us. However, age related changes, genetics and other factors change our bodies over time resulting in areas with unsightly loose, hanging skin. This condition is often caused by weight loss but exercise will not correct it. This causes frustration, especially when looking into the mirror or trying to make certain types of clothing look good. Clearly, this part of the body is disproportionate and out of balance with the rest of the body.

How Pople Benefit from Brachioplasty

  • Arm Lift surgery removes excess skin between the armpit & elbow
  • Arm Lift surgery removes skin hanging down from the upper arm

Brachioplasty Procedure Overview

Arm Lift surgery generally involves removal of skin and fat. Dr. Rudderman makes an incision from your armpit to your elbow depending on the amount and location of excess tissue, and works through it to remove excess fat, loose saggy skin, to tighten tissue and to sculpt the upper arm. This procedure involves a permanent visible scar. We will advise you as to additional treatments to promote healing. After surgery, dressings are applied as well as a compression garment to be worn during your recovery. Some swelling, bruising and discomfort is normal and to be expected, but it all resolves on its own over several days. Many of Dr. Rudderman’s patients are able to drive within 1 to 2 days after surgery!

  • Dr. Rudderman and his staff made the experience easy and comfortable. They were realistic communicating surgery expectations, expected pain levels and down time from work. Nurses were informative and friendly and wait times minimal. I also liked the fact that Dr. Rudderman does all his own work and doesn't let other less experienced people do parts of the surgery the way other doctors may. I'm only one week out of the surgery, but I am very satisfied with the results so far.
