What is JUVÉDERM Volbella® XC?

JUVÉDERM Volbella® XC adds subtle volume to lips and softens the appearance of vertical lip lines for up to 1 year. Volbella is Allergan’s newest injectable treatment for the lines around the lips and subtle lip augmentation.

Volbella is a modified hyaluronic acid filler with lidocaine and is part of the JUVÉDERM® family of fillers. As we age, natural substances such as collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid give skin structure and fullness start to decrease. Some patients may wish to add subtle volume to their lips; others may want to soften the appearance of the vertical lines above them. Lines such as these are often caused by factors such as sun exposure, repeated muscle movement, and the aging process. Volbella® is formulated with VYCROSS® technology to gently restore fullness and shape to your lips. This new injectable will give you natural-looking and long-lasting results. The majority of patients continued to report improved satisfaction with their lips and lip lines over one year.

So whether you are restoring your lips or adding more volume for the first time, don’t wait any longer. Our cosmetic injector, Mallory looks forward to giving her patients natural and desirable results. Juvéderm™ Ultra and Ultra Plus is a “next generation” hyaluronic acid – smooth gel dermal filler. It is different from others on the market because it is a “smooth gel” that flows consistently into the skin, causing wrinkles and folds to easily “smooth away” with the restored volume to the skin. The Ultra Plus formula is more robust and allows for more versatility in treating deeper wrinkles and folds.

Juvéderm® is used to correct areas around the mouth and lips that need to be rejuvenated.

There is no risk of hyper-pigmentation and hyper-tropic scarring.

Botox is a muscle relaxant that is generally used in the upper facial area to relax the parallel line area between the eyes.

Hyaluronic Acid is substance which occurs naturally in all mammals and helps to keep the skin hydrated. With aging hyaluronic acid production slows down and lines, wrinkles and folds appear. Cross-linking is a unique manufacturing process. It is what makes Juvéderm® effective and longer lasting.

Because Juvéderm is a smooth gel – it flows easily and consistently into the skin. This causes little to no discomfort like other dermal fillers because they are granular.

A treatment generally takes 15-30 minutes.
