Breast Surgery
Breast surgery can address aesthetic and reconstructive concerns, from enhancing breast shape to addressing imbalances or asymmetries related to development, pregnancy aging, or prior surgical procedures. We evaluate your anatomy, goals and lifestyle to determine the best surgical strategy to achieve your goals.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation adds volume and enhances the shape of the breasts using implants and is suitable for patients who feel desire fuller breasts. Surgery involves placing silicone or occasionally saline implants through discreet incisions to improve proportion and contour. Dr. Rudderman uses surgical techniques that prioritize natural-looking outcomes while respecting the patient’s body structure and aesthetic goals.
Breast Asymmetry Surgery
Breast asymmetry surgery addresses noticeable differences in size, shape or position of the breasts. Breast asymmetry may be present from early development or may become noticeable after weight fluctuations, pregnancy, aging, or as a result of previous surgery. Surgical treatmentery may involve combinations of breast augmentation, breast lift or reduction, or techniques to reposition breast tissue.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
A breast lift raises and reshapes sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the breast tissue and nipple areolar area. Aging, weight changes and pregnancy can all lead to a change of firmness and breast position, typically due to a mismatch between the skin support and breast volume. A lift restores a more youthful contour reducing the breast length and often resulting in a fuller breast shape even without implant augmentation.
Breast Revision
Breast revision surgery addresses aesthetic concerns that become apparent following previous breast procedure. Patients may seek revision to improve symmetry, change breast size, improve comfort, replace aging implants, reduce rippling or position issues, or improve satisfaction with breast appearance. Dr. Rudderman has extensive experience evaluating complex prior breast treatments to provide options for reliable surgical approaches to improve aesthetics and comfort.
Breast Implant Removal
Breast eximplant surgery involves removing existing saline or silicone implants. This surgery often involves removal of the capsular tissue (surrounding implant scar tissue) called capsulectomy. Many patients may over time no longer desire breast implants, due to changes in shape, comfort, or increase in breast size with aging. Others may have health concerns with aging implants, and for many, lifestyle changes no longer coincide with breast implants. Implant removal is often combined with a breast reshaping (modified lift ) to improve appearance.
Breast Implant Illness Management
Some patients report systemic symptoms they attribute to their implants, often referred to as breast implant illness (BII). Many patients report reduction of symptoms and improved health after breast Implant removal often performed with capsulectomy (removal of the capsule – scar tissue around the implant). Patients biggest concern is usually is the desire to look “normal” after implant removal. Dr. Rudderman listens carefully to concerns and offers surgical solutions that prioritize patient safety and informed decision-making to help achieve a predictable satisfactory outcome.

Capsular Contracture Correction
Capsular contracture occurs when capsule (tissue lining that surrounds the breast implant) tightens. Mild capsular contractions can cause your breast to feel more firm, and more severe contraction can eventually lead to visible asymmetric changes in shape, and discomfort in the breast, chest, neck or back. creating discomfort or visible distortion. Treatment involves removing the capsule (called a capsulectomy) and with either replacement or total removal of the implant. Patients who have developed a capsular contracture may be at higher risk for future contractures. Options for treatment and potential short and long term risks are reviewed after careful exam to optimize outcomes.
Tubular Breast Correction
Tubular breasts is a genetic condition that is typically noticeable during breast development. There are many varients of this condition including a narrow breast base, enlarged prominent protruding areolas, asymmetric nipple areolar position, asymmetric breast volume, and often a tube or cylindrical shape to the central breast. Surgical options for treatment involves reshaping the breast tissue, and may include breast implants to improve volume. Many patients can have breast reshaping alone without the use of breast implants to achieve a much more balanced natural appearance.
Fat Grafting to the Breasts
Fat grafting enhances breast shape using fat harvested from other body areas. The fat is treated and injected into specific areas of the breast to improve contour and symmetry. Long term outcomes related to volume enhancement with fat grafting are highly variable. Fat grafting is much more predictable for treatment of specific areas of contour asymmetry.
Areolar Reduction Surgery
Enlarged or stretched areolas can affect the overall balance and appearance of the breast. Large areolas may be genetically developments, and may develop over time or following pregnancy or weight change. Areolar reduction surgery removes excess areolar skin and reshapes the areola to improve proportion to the breast volume and contour. match the surrounding breast tissue. This surgery can be performed alone or in combination with other breast procedures.
Inverted Nipples Correction
Inverted nipples retract into the breast, a circumstance that can be present from birth or develop over time and can range from total retraction, to nipple clefts. Inverted nipples can cause skin irritation, lack of stimulation and undesirable aesthetics for some. Outcome of surgery can depend on the amount of nipple tissue that can be everted and results can be highly variable.

Breast Surgery FAQs
Body Surgery
Body surgery focuses on reshaping and refining areas affected by weight changes, pregnancy aging or genetics. These procedures can remove excess skin and soft tissue, restore muscle efficiency by adjusting anatomic positioning, and improve body contours to create a more proportional silhouette.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Tummy tuck surgery removes excess skin and restores the position of abdominal muscles that have displaced (stretched apart) due to pregnancy, weight changes or aging. If you feel frustrated by a persistent bulge or loose skin that does not respond to diet or exercise, the procedure can restore a flatter, firmer midsection. Dr. Rudderman carefully plans the incision placement and contouring to achieve natural-looking results while minimizing scarring.
Liposuction
Liposuction targets stubborn fat deposits that are often genetically determined that resist lifestyle changes, often in areas like the abdomen, hips, thighs or flanks. We suction fat through small incisions using a cannula that allows for precise body contouring. Liposuction enhances body proportions or refines results from other surgeries. Dr. Rudderman’s experience in liposuction allows him to create smooth transitions and natural, beautiful results.
Mommy Makeover
A mommy makeover addresses physical changes caused by pregnancy and breastfeeding, combining procedures such as breast surgery and abdominal contouring for comprehensive results. Many women experience stretched skin, separated abdominal muscles or breast volume loss after pregnancy and find that a healthy lifestyle isn’t enough to resolve these changes. Each mommy makeover is customized to match the patient’s goals, medical history and recovery needs.
Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty reduces or reshapes elongated or asymmetrical labia minora (inner labia) , which can cause physical discomfort, hygiene challenges or self-consciousness. Patients with enlarged and or asymmetric labia minora may experience irritation during exercise, intercourse or while wearing certain clothing. Labia minora enlargement may be genetic and present after puberty and patients may reduction to improve and restore a more age appropriate appearance The procedure involves carefully removing excess tissue while preserving function and sensitivity.
Monsplasty
Monsplasty addresses excess fullness or sagging in the mons pubis, the area above the pubic bone and labia, that can become more prominent due to development, weight changes, pregnancy or aging. A heavy or bulging mons can affect clothing fit and confidence, even after other body contouring procedures. Surgery reduces excess fat and skin to create a flatter, more balanced transition between the lower abdomen and pubic area. Monsplasty can be performed alone or in combination or other surgeries.
